Sometimes you find that once-in-a-lifetime horse. That special one has it all. The looks, the talent, and a special pedigree. Gambler is one of those horses. The beautifully coloured chestnut never fails to grab your attention in the arena. He has an easy confidence about him when working; light-footed, athletic, and very scopey is what comes to mind when you see him jump.
Gambler is a son of Quaprice Bois Margot (Quidam de Revel x Lord) who unfortunately died at a very young age. Quaprice was very successful with Julien Epaillard at the 1.60 level and sired many excellent horses like Viking d’la Rousserie, Ratina d’la Rousserie, Baltic VDL, Beau Goss du Park, Sangria de Coty and many more 1.60 horses.
The mother of Gambler, Hanky Panky, is a daughter of the great Calvaro Z (Caletto I x Capitol I) who jumped for many years at the highest level with Jos Lansink and John Whitaker. He won the Dutch championships in 1997, a medal during the Europeans that same year, and also jumped some great rounds at the Olympics in Sydney. Besides that, he can still be found at the top of the WBFSH Sire Ranking. The oldest daughter of Hanky Panky is jumping internationally at the 1.30 level. In the direct damline we find two 1.60 horses; Fleurivan de Koekelberg and Barough C.R. and also the 1.40 horse, Gorki F.
Further in Gambler’s pedigree we see Heartbreaker. A stallion who almost needs no introduction at all. Besides a fantastic career with Peter Geerink, he provided the world with amazing showjumpers like Halifax van het Kluizebos, Romanov II, Toulon, Actionbreakerand VDL Group Zidane.
Gambler has a great character, is very nice to ride with a pleasant and well-balanced canter, and shows a lot of talent on the jump. He was approved by Zangersheide as a 3-year-old and jumped exceptionally well during the Belgium stallion competition. He is set to continue his career with American rider Hunter Holloway. The first foals of Gambler look impressive and show the same light-footed canter. All of these aspects combined make Gambler a very interesting stallion for your breeding program!

Any Given Sunday, affectionately known as Sunny, has had a tremendous career that is still going into his twenties! This is a horse that has not only had wins himself in EVERY discipline, hunter, jumper, and equitation but has already produced multiple winners as well. Brandie Holloway imported him from South America as a 5 yo and produced him up to the Grand Prix level with many wins along the way. He is a horse of a lifetime and he has not only found success in the Grand Prix ring and Hunter derby ring, but also multiple equitation final wins and top placings. Truly a horse of a lifetime with a winning attitude which he throws to his off spring.
Sunny is a son of Indoctro (Capitol I x Vanessa VII), who is one of the world’s greatest sires. A significant number of Indoctro’s offspring have competed at the highest levels, including the Olympic Games. As champion of his stallion test, Indoctro & his rider Ulrich Kirchhoff went on to have successful international showjumping career. Indoctro stands as one of the VDL's foundation sires. At the age of 16, he received the title preferent for being such a success in the KWPN Studbook.
